Assessment and treatment planning (History/ Models) April 2027

Description

This workshop will review how to engage Play Therapy clients in Intake, and
assessment activities (both qualitative and quantitative) for children and
adolescents.

Learning Outcomes:
1. Apply a range of innovative Play Therapy techniques to build and strengthen
rapport with clients.
2. Develop and implement strategies to engage both parents and children/teens
in intake Play Therapy activities that promote collaboration and trust.
3. Design and conduct assessment activities involving parents and
children/teens to identify and refine treatment goals in Play Therapy.
4. Construct and articulate a clear case conceptualization using Play Therapy
frameworks and client data.

5. Formulate and prioritize treatment goals aligned with the developmental and
therapeutic needs of the client within the Play Therapy process.
6. Demonstrate proficiency in Play Therapy techniques to assess, observe, and
interpret the behaviors and dynamics of children, adolescents, and families.
